When I first became interested in NLP, it was quite by accident.

A friend gave me a book written by Richard Bandler & John Grinder,
(the founders of NLP).
I immediately knew that these studies of how our brains compute information
and the relationship between the resulting behaviours, generated by our
thoughts, was not only brilliant, but easy, fun and a major turning point in my life.
 
As soon as I could, I attended my first NLP Practitioner Program.
I quickly figured how best to adapt the technology of NLP into personal,
business and health applications. What I found most interesting about
the Practitioner Course was the fact that I could get
results almost instantly, no fluff, no theories, just action
and change!
 
I went on to study under the founder of NLP, Dr. Richard Bandler
and the Senior Master Trainer John La Valle in Florida and more
recently with John Grinder.
Having obtained my licence to train under the umbrella of
The Society of Neuro Linguistic Programming  TM,
I set up the - Irish Academy of NLP and have been living my dream.
 
I have been running Practitioner training courses,
Seminars and Development Courses for individuals and
groups over the last ten years now. These individuals
and groups include some world renowned companies.
 
My training is for those of you who want to learn NLP as
It is intended to be taught and used by its originators.

Different stages of learning
 

Setting up this web page has been a totally new experience for me. Not only did I know absolutely nothing about web design a mere couple of months ago, when my friend presented me with this DIY web design kit. But, I didn't know anyone else who did either.

The challenges I encountered were on many different levels.

Unconscious Incompetence -

  • Initially I wasn't aware that I knew nothing about web design, until I recieved the kit with the (time to learn something new HINT) written all over it

Conscious Incompetence - 

  • Then coming to terms with the fact that, I now knew 'I didn't know anything about web design' so, I took the first of many awkward steps - to learn 

Conscious Competence -

  • Sooner than I had expected, I started to become confident at finding my way around the wonderful world of communicating - via a DIY web design kit

Unconscious Competence -

  • Now I am logging on to my site and making regular changes, without thinking about 'how alien all this was a mere couple of months ago'

As with all our training, you will be plesantly surprised at how quickly and easily, you will learn.

MOST IMPORTANTLY, with humour and Fun

Having worked with many different and diverse art forms during her formal training, from Painting, carpentry, pottery, basketry, cloth crafts, life drawing and portraits, it seemed only natural that her love of art would never be satisfied by focusing on just one medium.

Coupled, with the fact that most art classes seemed to focus solely on painting as being the only accepted measure of ‘artistic communication’

Realizing that the art of communication, no matter what avenue or method was being employed to communicate, was hugely restricted by conventional thinking and ultimately resulting in classrooms full of puppets and blank canvases

Fortunately Jacqui turned her attention to a very different ‘Art form’

                  THE ART AND SCIENCE OF NEURO LINGUISTIC PROGRAMMING

Where she found not only the tools, but the attitude to communicate at a much deeper level, and to a much broader section of students
